The story is about the wistful
love between Huw and Megan. At first, they were friends. Then, Huw found he
loves Megan but he couldn't tell her because there was a hole between the rich
and the poor. Huw wasn't rich because his mother died when he was born and his
father, David, was a drunk. His two brothers also died. His older brother
Gareth died when part of the roof of a tunnel had fallen
down and he with some miners were on the wrong side of the fallen rock.
On the other
hand, Megan wasn't poor so her father didn't want her to marry him. Her father wanted her to go to college and be better
than the other young people in the village. One day, Huw made the decision and he finally told her and they
were in love. However, Huw and his father had to leave Tredonald after the
death of his brother so they couldn't be together anymore.
